Abstract:
In this course we’ll dive into the technical work of podcasts and audio by examining equipment and software. We’ll look at developing your own podcast concept and how you can implement your idea.
About this course:
This course is designed for organisations and individuals who are interested in audio storytelling and human rights advocacy. It is an introduction to podcasting in terms of identifying your core audience and producing a podcast for that target audience.
What do I learn:
You will learn about the importance of audience analysis, selecting topics to produce, and the technical aspects of putting together your own podcast.
What do I need to know:
This course is for human rights advocates interested in telling personal stories. This is for people or organisations that are new to audio production. We recommend you take this course after completing our Audio for Advocacy: Podcasts and Storytelling course.

Ramsey G. Tesdell

Ramsey G. Tesdell is a founding partner of 7iber.com and is now building a podcast network called Sowt.com. He recently worked as the Program Director for Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ). Ramsey works with new media startups and conducts training all over the Arab world in media strategy, storytelling, social media and business development. He has a B.S. in rhetoric and communication and an M.S. in technical communication.
